accidental death, withouth the dismemberment.
2005-06-24, 6:12 a.m.

current mood: better. not great, but better.

current song: the last song by the smashing pumpkins

this is the last song
this is the last song i'll sing for you
this is the last song
this is the last song i can give you
the roaring city sleeps
metal fingers clutching dirty sheets
and no one comes for free
in this place where the angels sleep
this is the last song
my eyes are open wonder to this
as you hold the secrets
i count the minutes off so perfectly
the shards of broken glass
sing the strains of a sad old tune
we've made it at last
but what we had is lost inside our past
this is the last song
could you find away across me
to forgive and forget me
to appease and relent me
to deceive and detect me
to understand and release me
to the dawn
this is the last song

i don't know if this makes it more sad or less sad, but seth's death was an accident. the coroner ruled it today, after the autopsy and whatnot. no drugs in his system, no alcohol. it seems that he was trying to make a stunt for halloweekends at cedar point where he works - he was trying to make it look like he was hanging himself without really hanging himself (which obviously was a great idea, as we can see). apparently he gave himself enough slack, and had it almost right, when he fell off the table he was standing on and snapped his neck. he then asphyxiated there, because he was paralyzed and couldn't cut himself down. it took him at least an hour, they say, to strangle and suffocate.

so let that be a lesson to you, kids. don't fucking try to pretend to hang yourself, no matter how well you think you have the stunt rigged. god. pretending to die is not funny, ever.
